It is a miracle. What if this tool can run a program that make run our source file written in this editor?

Its early days but this looks worth trying. I've spent years looking for a good editor that runs on Windows. This might just be the favourite. Its lightweight, fast and doesn't need to be installed but it appears to have all the necessary features. I can't say anything about stability yet.

Great concept and tool! A codeless lex and yacc built into a text editor! Terrific job. Rapidly installed and worked EControl syntax really does what promises. I installed quickly into my C++ Builder 6 and replaced the "TMemo" component in very little time. It is full of features beyond my real needs but it's nice to have them with it. If you have used the new Delphi or Borland Developer Studio interface, it gives the same editing features (and much more). The only thing that I don't like is that it's rather complex to build a grammar yer own. For my task, which is to give syntax-highligh in script language of my own, I just copied and modified the existing C++ ...

syntax highlight?? I encountered a major problem right at the beginning. The syntax highlight function is greyed out. How do I enable it??

Disappointed but good start I was looking for something to do syntax highlighting of PHP code, so when I tried your prouduct with a big block of PHP code, it highlighted just the "if" of an if-statement in the code... no function highlighting, no comment highlighting, no variable highlighting, only key words.Maybe this is an artifact of Word 2007?I would like to use it to make my engineering log books prettier, but so far I haven't found a good method of doing so.

source code format tool The idea to have such an add-on is very good.The features that I personally missed were options for a more comprehensive control of the formatting. For example choose the font color for keywords, indent lenght, etc. Such things that you'd normally find in an IDE.I had great troubles with downloading the tool however.The request to the exe seemed to hang forever and finally I had to read that there were troubles with the database and the trace as if I'm suposed to debug that

Too expensive IC Imaging Control looks OK I guess. But for my application (having fun with my webcam in my spare time), paying for such an utility is really out of the question.
